theaudience (Sophie Ellis-Bextor) - Quiet Storm (Digitally Remastered)

Here's something to keep you busy till we get Sophie's 4th solo album.

The previous set of tracks that i had with me didn't really sound like they were studio quality. I've been working on some audio enhancement softwares and i tried to re-master the tracks from theaudience's second album. So here you go - QUIET STORM (REMASTERED)

Don't forget to say thanks.

And if you don't like the new artwork that i made for the album, you can always use the old one (below)

All tracks have the lyrics, composers and the old artwork tagged with them.

Here's the tracklist:
1. The Greatest Gift
2. How It Should Be Done
3. Day And Night
4. Headcase
5. Wisdom (Out With The Old School)
6. The Fool Will Rise Again
7. So Clever
8. Twilight Of The Teenage
9. Grey With Dusty Rain
10. You Will Do For Now

hey Kaushik!!
you miss two songs...
If you dont someone else and Hey 17!
what happened???

kaushik said...

They were both recorded to be b-sides. So they're not on the album. According to Dean, these 14 plus 3 more were contenders for the album...

Please Remastered both songs! please Kaushik!!

Hi Anonymous... i'm a HUGE theaudience fan. I'd appreciate it if you left your name in the comments. We're a small community and it's always nice to know who the rest of the fans are...

Hopefully we'll have some more songs in the future...

You say some songs were recorded for B-Sides, but were to be the singles...?

kaushik said...

@xxx - The Greatest Gift was planned to be the lead single from this album.

Interesting choice. Am currently very much in love with 'You Will Do For Now'

Will other album tracks/B-Sides leak at some point? I haven't heard the original demos you put on here, but these tracks sound studio quality. If you're to thank for that, then hearty congratulations!

I haven't listened to a 'new' album this much in a few years :)

@Mr Bray - I have asked Nigel a couple of times about it. Dean and Nigel have both been very busy since the past few months so they haven't had the time to share the rest.

It took them 10 years to share those with us. Who knows how long they will take to share the rest with us. I'll get in touch with Nyge again and see what i can do.

About the studio quality thing - you're welcome. I got rid of all the unwanted hiss and hum noise from the songs, so they sound crisp now. I'm glad you liked it.

I still keep listening to theaudience, at least once a week. They are an amazing group, aren't they?

Thank you very much for uploading this.
I really love theaudience.
Came to their music in 2002 when I was curious if there ist older stuff from Sophie Ellis-Bextor, because I liked her voice on "groovejet" and "murder on the dancefloor".
Although I liked that songs, I really loved the theaudience stuff I could find on the internet (difficult in times before youtube ;-) ) It took me some time to get the album and singles here in Germany.
By chance I now saw, that there where some unreleased tracks on youtube and that lead me to this site.
Thanks again. Great to have a "new" album to listen to all the next days.

Hi there. I discovered theaudience like two years ago. I can't fight a feeling that there are no music better than theaudience. I've been listening quiet storm like a year or so and still find it superb and awesome. But I feel sad when think that there is nothing in music world compatible with such masterpieces as the theaudience's albums. I became addicted to them. So much wisdom, so much energy... I wish I had them in 's quality.

I have a very extensive music collection, and I considered Sophie E-B to be a guilty pleasure but then I discovered 'theaudience'. I am very happy with the remastered album and grateful that people keep alive 'rare' gems...

I would like to recommend...

Absinthe Blind (I have 3 albums)
Rogue Frequency (My Prog Rock band)
Oliver The Penguin

Sophie,i love you!

Thanks a lot for this and for the tags with the lyrics, that was awesome.

Such a fantastic album, much better than the first one. Songs like 'Headcase' or 'wisdom' could have been incredible singles. Too bad this wasn't properly released, it will remain unheard by most people which is a shame.

Thanks again!
