The one with the red streak on her hair looks amazing. The bronzed look makes her look sort of Dannii Minogue-ish, no? I like her pale skin look better than this bronze tan.

If she is filming a new advert, i hope she showcases the new single in that. That was planned for Sophia Loren. I'm sure Rimmel wouldn't mind having a Sophie song again in their ad. It could be the start for her promo. The advert would be played everywhere. Then she would sing the song at shows, at other live venues.

In other news:
Georgia May Jagger and Coco Rocha are announced as the new faces of beauty brand Rimmel London. The pair will join Kate Moss, Lily Cole and Sophie Ellis-Bextor as icons for the British make-up brand, and will appear in advertising campaigns next year. Now i understand if Coco is taken, but Jagger is "FUGLY"!!! I always thought Moss was disgusting-looking, but now they've picked someone even worse! Oh well, at least Sophie (and Lily) add beauty to their brand!

a new mix of Heartbreak and more song titles

Some of the recent unofficial remixes of Heartbreak are beyond amazing. Especially this mix called "Bobina Remix". This is my 3rd favourite mix of the song (1st being the Bitrocka Italo Mix and the 2nd being the Freemasons Club Mix), yes it is that good!! Listen to the amazing break-down on this mix. It gave me the goosebumps! Also, they have re-arranged the lyrics in the breakdown - "DJ gimme the answer faster!", beautifully done!!

Sophie is songwriting tomorrow with someone from the past. I hope it is Nigel Butler, i do remember talking to him a few months ago, and he seemed quite open to the idea of collaborating with Sophie again. He is the man (or one of the men) behind Dolly Rockers after all!

new Sophie single this October?

HMV lists Sophie's album as 5-10-2009.

And my inside source said that we might have a new single out in 2009 followed by another single in 2010. So what HMV listed is probably the new single! I'll wait for an official confirmation before i get excited about it.

If there was a new single coming in October, then Sophie would undoubtedly hype it from now. So maybe November...

So they're probably going to re-do the website shortly. I don't like what they did during the Trip era.. its more art than Sophie.. there's just a tiny pic of Sophie somewhere in the news and the rest of it is the sky and flowers and stuff.. pretty neat, but its not Sophie. I wish the glam up the site with pictures of Sophie etc., Rimmel did a better job putting Sophie on their background than Sophie's official website! Sheesh...

Freemasons Launch Party Gig: Sophie horribly out of tune

At the Freemasons album launch party Sophie performed "Heartbreak" promoting the single again. But this time she was completely out of tune and the song sounds horrible. But thankfully, the crowd seemed to enjoy her presence on the stage. Hell, they even sang along with her. Could this be her 2nd Murder On The Dancefloor, in terms of popularity?! Maybe!

Sophie just doesn't seem like the Sophie we know in this pic. She looks so wild. And her nose looks different. I love it. I think this is how the 4th album shoot should be. Stripped down to the basics. Sophie in a white/light grey background...all skin and make up - close up pictures. I keep saying this, and i'm going to keep saying this. Rimmel did a lot of good for Sophie. She is a whole lot wilder than she was before. Oh, and would anyone agree with me if i said Sophie doesn't look like she has aged in 10 years!? She still looks like a 20 year old, forget being a mom of 2! Richard is one lucky guy!

How long do you think Sophie should wait?

Should Sophie wait till October for her 2nd single? Sure she'd probably want to let MJ's songs rule the charts for a while, cos obviously he deserves it. But does that mean Sophie should all the way till October for the next single? I think that is a bad idea...

Heartbreak (Make Me A Dancer) generated a whole lot of hype for Sophie and she needs to make best use of it. So the song didn't enter the top 10.. but it did still sell a lot of copies which Sophie's singles have failed to achieve in a long long time. So is it really a wise thing to do - wait till October?

Mid-August or Early-September is the perfect time for the next single to come out. She shouldn't wait too long. One more single and then the album by October. And then have singles coming out one after the other.

Meanwhile, whatever happened to her Rimmel campaign? She did sign on for more adverts didn't she?

Sophie is suddenly very very ambitious

We all know modeling is a ridiculously competitive industry, but Rimmel model Sophie Ellis-Bextor, 30, took her commitment to her job to a whole new level. Just nine days after giving birth to her premature son via C-section, Sophie got back to work.

Now, to be fair, it's not like she was modeling lingerie or anything -- she was at the studio with her husband, Richard Jones, to help write a single for his band, The Feeling. The band's lead singer said, "Sophie was in with us to pen a duet. She's recovered from the operation and looks great."

Hopefully Sophie does not set the bar for all other celebs, the celeb world is a tad bit crazy. As happy as i am that Sophie is working again, i wish she does take enough time to care for her family, cos that makes her happy. And if she's happy, she can concentrate more on her work, and we'll get quality material.

I'm not sure if this duet is going to be on Sophie's upcoming album, or if its a single for The Feeling (read what Dan said again, you'll know what i mean).

Anyway, there was a bit about Kit's name, how the media finds it funny...

WHAT is it with celebrities and baby names?

Ever since FIFI TRIXIBELLE GELDOF was born, there seems to have been an ongoing competition as to who can give their child the most ridiculous name, from APPLE MARTIN to SUNDAY ROSE KIDMAN.

Now SOPHIE ELLIS-BEXTOR and her husband, THE FEELING’s guitarist RICHARD JONES, are the latest to join this merry band by calling their second son KIT VALENTINE.

They introduced him to the world for the first time yesterday since his birth in February.

Poor little mite. Imagine the stick he’s going to get when he is a bit older and goes to school.

Look how tiny he is, and the couple look so happy! Sophie looks healthy!!

My Comments:
The Rimmel promotion/advertising team are brilliant. The production team for both ads are simply brilliant. I think they have come up with really good concepts for both ads and selected songs that fit perfectly onto them. Rimmel were nice enough to upload the making of both adverts on their MySpace account. Sophie signed on for three adverts, i hope they decide to keep her for some more. Sophie is a fresh face, and is a glam icon, and being the brand ambassador for Rimmel will benefit them, cos she will help them to tap a larger audience. Her fans are so loyal that they would go and buy the product, even if they don't use it. That would mean more sales for Rimmel. And for Sophie, of course, any exposure is good exposure. She's been getting some really good offers. Monsoon signed her to be the face of their product a year ago. That went on well. Then she was featured in a musical, to hype it up. Then Rimmel picked her up. I'm glad she's getting all the attention she deserves. I hope that her new album comes out soon, and she uses bits of the Rimmel adverts in her own music video, or at least, do the same kinda thing..wearing lipstick, makeup etc.,
